Dawn was excited to receive an invitation to attend Augusta Bar Association’s Passing the Gavel event, held the evening of March 30, 2017, at the beautiful Augusta Country Club. After catching up with local attorneys and judges that afternoon, Dawn joined members of the Augusta Bar Association to celebrate several new judges who recently joined the bench and other judges who transitioned to a different court. Dawn appreciated the social focus of the event, allowing her the opportunity to get to know many of the attendees that filled up the ballroom that evening.  As has happened along the campaign trail, Dawn ran into a few former colleagues and law school classmates at the event with whom she enjoyed catching up. At the end of the evening, Dawn was struck, again, by how much she has learned while traveling throughout the state campaigning. Understanding regional similarities and differences, Dawn will better serve each member of our Bar.
