Dawn Jones’ travel schedule to meet Bar members in cities and counties throughout the state included a great day spent in Savannah. Her first stop was at the Savannah Bar Association lunch meeting at noon on March 23, 2017. The grand room at the Savannah Golf Club, where the meeting was held, was filled with attorneys and judges with whom Dawn shared a delicious buffet meal. She enjoyed listening to them talk about their practices and their lives in Savannah. And she was happy to answer questions about her race for Secretary, as well as her current duties and responsibilities on the Executive Committee and as a member of the Board of Governors. Dawn was grateful to Savannah Bar member Gwendolyn Forston-Waring for the invite to attend the meeting as Gwendolyn’s guest. Dawn was thankful for the generous introduction provided to the group on her behalf by past YLD President Jon Pannell. And Dawn appreciated the opportunity to bring greetings on behalf of the Executive Committee of the State Bar in place of State Bar President Pat O’Connor, who was unable to attend the meeting due to work demands. Good friends and campaign supporters Denise Cooper and Lester Johnson introduced Dawn to many of the lunch attendees during and after the meeting.
